Welcome to the creative portal for multimedia designer, artist and director Joe Winograd.

JOE TUT is a creative studio and design consultancy providing immersive and exciting solutions for clients in the music industry and beyond.

JOE TUT was founded by multimedia performance artist and digital researcher Joe Winograd.

Joe Winograd (born 1990 in Atlanta, GA) received his MFA in Digital+Media from Rhode Island School of Design in 2018. He also holds a BFA in Printmaking & Drawing from Washington University in St. Louis (2013).

Winograd has created elaborate installations and public performances for galleries, museums and festivals internationally over the last decade. Blending a wide spectrum of high-tech processes with low-fidelity handcrafted materials, his work straddles the boundaries between what is and what isn’t “Digital Art”. He has collaborated with many companies and online creative platforms to challenge these limits, including GIPHY, VICE Media and Tumblr, which has featured his digital graphics in their Staff Picks lists frequently and in their Best of the Year Review in 2013.

Since 2016, Winograd has been regularly performing as Juggy – a mystical creature that rides a bicycle and attempts various feats of creative endurance. In 2019, Juggy was featured by Thrillist’s list of Top Things to See & Do in NYC when Winograd’s work was exhibited at The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn.

Winograd often creates and presents work for educational environments of all levels. Most notably, in 2017 he was featured prominently in a solo exhibition at the Young At Art Children’s Museum in Florida while simultaneously presenting research at the Technological Landscapes Conference hosted by Harvard University. While a graduate student at RISD, Winograd co-created a unique course for students to reevaluate their studio processes and challenge themselves to take on ambitious projects beyond their skillset. This course, “Jack of All Trades, Master of None” was offered for undergraduate and graduate-level students as an elective course in 2018.
